Peace activists against US missile shield plans for Europe outside the White House yesterday

Attached please find a picture of our lively demonstration in front of the White House yesterday against the proposed U.S. radar base in the Czech Republic on the occasion of the visit by Prime Minister Mirek Topolánek to meet with President George Bush. The organizers from Campaign for Peace and Democracy and the Institute for Policy Studies were joined by a spirited contingent from Code Pink as well as people from Maryknoll, Catholic Worker, and the Washington Peace Center. Some press showed up, including a documentary film crew from the Czech Republic.
