There are no translations available Sławomir Nowak, head of PM Tusk’s political office, stated that the US anti-missile shield negotiations remain on course. Contrary to press allegations, Sławomir Nowak, head of PM Tusk’s political office, stated that the talks with the United States regarding the deployment of the anti-missile shield elements in Poland remain on course. The last consultations on the matter prior to the prime minister’s visit to Washington planned for today have been cancelled. Nowak, however, claimed that a special US military commission scheduled for next week will fly to Poland to discuss the modernisation of Polish armed forces. “The purpose of talks and negotiations with our American friends is to reach a satisfactory – maybe not compromise - rather an agreement beneficial to both sides, and thus regular talks are taking place. There is no need to panic,” he said. http://www.polskieradio.pl/zagranica/news/artykul76456_Head_of_PM_s_office_assures_negotiations_with_US_not_threatened.html |
